TERMS
By using any of the services advertised under the name of Dog’s Best Friend you are a agreeing and bound by the terms and conditions of this document.
References to “”we”, “us” within the context of this document means owners, employees of Dogs Best Friend.
References to “you”, “your” or “customer” within the context of this document relate to the the dog owner or the person agreeing to these terms and conditions.
References to “Dog(s)” within the context of this document means a dog or dogs being cared of by Dogs Best Friend during the agreed service times.
DISCLOSURE
In order to use the daycare or boarding services it is essential that your dog is used to a family environment.
It is essential you inform us of any incidents that have occurred that may have a bearing on how your dog is cared for. The more information you supply will improve the quality of care and enable us to advise you accordingly if you are not sure.
DISCLAIMER
We promise to take every care to look after you dog properly and according to your instructions. We will at all times adhere to the laws of England and Wales in relation to dog offences and any offences relating to the behaviour or actions of a dog.
We cannot be held responsible for any damage , injury caused by your dog or loss whilst in our care if you have not disclosed any information which may if disclosed would have prevented such incident.
THE LAW AND YOU
You must inform us prior to any commencement of services of any control orders, breaches and any prosecutions you or anyone has had in relation to the dog(s) with reference to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991,Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 (relating to dog fouling) Dogs Act 1871, civil claims relating to custody and control or contract disputes.
You must inform us of any offence relating to the dog contrary the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
PAYMENT
The person responsible for payment is the dog owner or the person responsible for the care and housing of the dog(s) whilst not in the care and control of the owners or employees of Dogs Best Friend. If it is not clear who is responsible for payment, the person who delivers, hands over, collects or is in receipt of the dog at time of beginning of a particular service as specified in Dogs Best Friend literature or website content.
We have the right to demand part or full payment in advance or change and review our price list at anytime. We aim to give you a notice period of 7 days prior to any services commencing.
FEES
The rates are charged per night stay.
An additional fee of £5.00 is payable in the event of departure after 12.00pm.This fee increases to a full boarding rate if collected after 5.00pm. Full boarding rate equates to £14.00 in addition to other fees owed.
Emergency boarding rate is payable for the first night only. The rate reverts to normal boarding rates for subsequent nights.
Additional bank holiday payments are charged when your dog(s) arrives or is under our care when there is a official Bank holiday for England and Wales.
No additional Bank holiday fee is payable if the bank holiday falls on the day of departure in respect of Boarding and your dog(s) is collected before 12.00pm.
The fee is payable if the dog(s) is present after 12.00pm on the day of departure that falls on a bank holiday.
Payment. – All payments are due on the day of collection. We accept cash or cheques. Please make cheques payable to L.H HARRIS.
FOOD AND BEDDING
You will be responsible for supplying food and bedding as well as any toys. This enables minimum disruption to your dog. If food is not provided we will of course supply food. We will add the cost of food to your final payment at an additional cost of 50p per day.
MEDICAL TREATMENT
You must disclose any ailment, illness, injury, or medical history or medication priory to any service which you have not already disclosed before commencement of any service.
You must supply details of a preferred veterinary practitioner prior to any service if not already done so In the event of the details being incorrect any anyway, we have the right to select a registered practitioner on your behalf. Fees will be reimbursed by you.
We will whenever possible use your preferred veterinary practitioner however in the event of an emergency we have the right to seek the services of an alternative in the event of an emergency.
By agreeing to book with us you are consenting to allow us to obtain any treatment deemed necessary by a vet if you dog falls ill or suffers from any aliment or accident during their stay. We will document any incident and all efforts will be made to contact you or your emergency contact prior to any treatment. We will not delay any treatment in emergency situations however, we will continue to attempt communication as is deemed reasonable until contact is made. All fees for treatment will be fully reimbursed by you at the point of collection / return.
CANCELLATIONS
We have the right to cancel, amend or refuse any booking. We will endeavour to inform customers in time to make alternative arrangements.
If you decide to cancel the service prior to 48 hours form the start of one of the services we have the right to charge a cancellation fee of 20% of the agreed fee in respect of Boarding and daycare and 50% in respect of walking and visits. The cancellation fee will be added to future invoices.
TERMINATION
If you wish to terminate any of the services provided by Dog’s Best Friend. You must inform by way of any communication within 5 days.
